Letters of Recommendation
“Please prayerfully consider supporting Bruce and Amanda Stuart, missionaries to Liberia, Africa. This couple loves the Lord. They have been used of the Lord in our church in many different aspects of the ministry over the years. Bruce is an excellent minister of the Word and Amanda works well with the ladies and children. We heartily recommend them to your service.” Pastor Joel Long, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Williamsport, PA (Sending Church) “Africa has long been known as the Dark Continent. This is due to the fact that for hundreds of years, if not more, very little was known about Africa by those in what is called the Civilized World. Although much is known about Africa today, there is still at least one sense in which Africa can still be called the Dark Continent. That is in relationship to the world of the Deaf. Generally speaking, educational and spiritual darkness still reigns in the world of the Deaf. Bruce and Amanda have prepared themselves for meeting the challenge of this darkness among the Deaf of Africa. Therefore, it is imperative that Bruce and Amanda Stuart receive both your prayer and financial support as ambassadors of the King of kings to the Deaf of Liberia, West Africa. I highly recommend this young couple to you, believing that God will use them to pierce the darkness of the deaf world in Africa, for the building of His church, and for His own honor and glory.” David Bennett, International Director SWMI “I have observed Amanda and Bruce all through their college years and I am blessed to see how God has worked in their lives. They are worthy of your support and I am praying for them as they go to Liberia, Africa. Both have a great desire to serve the Lord in this needy field.” Dr. Jim Townsley, Central Baptist Church, President of New England Baptist College, CT Bruce and Amanda were a joy to have at BBTI. They did very well in their studies, demonstrating good linguistic and language-learning ability. Their discernment about cultural matters will enable them to learn the culture of Liberia and communicate effectively in it. They demonstrated the ability to work well with others, a vital missionary quality. The Deaf and their hearing families have waited much too long, but finally they have hope of knowing Christ. I highly recommend these two dedicated, well-trained missionaries that will preach Christ with their hands, their mouths, and with their hearts. Rex L. Letter from Our Director, October 2021Dear Church,
“But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 This is a wonderful promise given to us from the Holy Spirit, through the pen of the apostle Paul, to churches like the Philippian church who had a part in the financial support of their well-respected missionary leader, the apostle Paul. When the church of Jesus Christ is involved financially, and in other ways, in supporting the work of the Great Commission given to us by the Great Commissioner, then we can rely on the supply and support of Him who is the head of His church. Silent Word Ministries International thanks you (pastor) and your church for having given Bruce and Amanda Stuart the opportunity to present their vision, burden, and passion for lost souls in Africa. Thank you for opening up your church and pulpit to them. We do not take this lightly since both church and pulpit are sacred. This couple has shown incredible persistence and perseverance in getting to the mission field. When many would have given up, they battle on knowing God has called them to Africa. SWMI, along with the Stuarts, is committed to evangelizing the deaf for Christ, discipling and training them for life and ministry, and to raising up deaf ministries and churches for the glory of God. I, David Bennett, international director of SWMI, have focused much on the country of Liberia in recent years. God is doing a tremendous work among the deaf in Liberia for which we praise the Lord. However, full-time missionary workers on the field are vital at this point. People who are fluent in sign language are needed, but even more important it is to have someone with the Gift of Teaching, like Bruce, and someone with the Gift of Serving, like Amanda on the field. This couple loves the Lord and wants people, deaf and hearing, to know the Lord as they do! The Deaf of Liberia demonstrated great joy when I personally told them that the Stuarts would be coming in the near future. We are asking God to get them to Liberia in the first quarter of 2022. This is where YOUR CHURCH comes in with its prayers and financial support. The Stuarts now have 77% of their support and promises of more support coming soon. They already have 100% of their outfit and passage account supplied. You have already heard and felt their heartbeat for the Africa. You receive their prayer updates. Please pray and seriously consider taking the Stuarts on for financial support in the very near future. For the eternal sake of souls in Africa, please make their support a matter of serious prayer and consideration. Thank you so very much for your time and attention to this need, and your interest in taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every creature. For the Sake of Knowing Him and Making Him Known Worldwide, David Bennett, SWMI Director |
